Wish I had a dollar for every animal cognitive study that says “the results appear to demonstrate that there's more going on in their strange little brains than we knew.” Some of us knew! Now that know, don’t act so surprised in the next study, OK? https://twitter.com/sciencealert/status/1366908274780553218

What would happen to our carbon emissions if we all went #vegan?

The answer:

It would ~halve greenhouse gas emissions from food & free up ~three quarters of agricultural land for environmentally beneficial uses.

So what are we waiting for?

What would happen to our carbon emissions if we all went vegan? That's what I discuss on #TheLifeScientific this morning on @BBCRadio4 with @sarahbridle, professor of extragalactic astronomy who now studies the impact of the food we eat on the climate.

What’s the point of having a well thought through ethical system if you exclude most sentient beings from meaningful moral consideration?

@EthicalRenewal I like your 'hashtag list' ☺️
At the risk of being controversial, for myself I would wish to add #sentientist, expanding the tenets of humanism further to include our fellow sentient beings 💚🙏
....and, hand in hand with that, deeply intertwined with the others, #vegan 💚🌱🐾💚

@jksmith8806 @grok_ @Davoh @David_Gunkel @JoshGellers @edwardschad @drkatedevlin @DidemGurdurBroo @RobotRules Just remember to ensure the "good food" isn't made of other sentients 🌱

We need to set a better example for our future robot overlords when it comes to how to treat less powerful, less capable, sentient entities.

Hopefully they'll be #Sentientist - or we might be in trouble 🙂
