Ask A Philosopher – Open Q&A on Sentientism

New video here!

I was invited to an interesting, open question and answer session hosted by Anna Gullub and Daniel Estrada of “Ask A Philosopher“.

I cover the basics of Sentientism but go into some of my personal views too – so many Sentientists will disagree.

Our central discussion focused on whether morality should be grounded in sentience, suffering and flourishing – or not be grounded at all, rather emerging from a negotiated consensus.

Let me know what you think – I’d love any feedback. You can join the conversation in one of our communities (biggest one here on FaceBook) or just reply here or comment on the site.

You can find other videos about Sentientism here.

Thanks,

Jamie.
