Two New Sentientism Meetups and Wisethinking’s “Who Matters?” Journey

Our next London Sentientism meetup is on the afternoon of Sunday 20th September at the lovely Spread Eagle vegan pub in Homerton. If you’re in range, sign up for free here. Why not bring a friend (canine, human or otherwise?) All are welcome!

Michael, our one-man Sentientism London community powerhouse (thank you!) is also planning our next global online meetup so look out for details of that soon. Our last one was a globe-spanning joy.

The team at Wisethinking, with a little help from Sentientism, have developed a “Who Matters?” journey where students, or anyone interested, can chat to AI versions of Hannah Arendt, Tom Regan, Jeremy Bentham, Val Plumwood and Peter Singer about this most important moral question. Why not give it a try? Wisethinking would love to hear any feedback.

I hope you’ve all enjoyed my latest Sentientism discussion with Björn Ólafsson. Things are still going a little slow on the podcast and YouTube front, so apologies to my wonderful guests still waiting in the pipeline. Our Sentientism YouTube has recently hit 300,000 views. Make sure you’re subscribed.

I blame the publishing slowdown on the Sentientism worldview book, provisionally titled “Everything and Everyone.” I’ve recently drafted the chapters on sentientist politics, economics, justice, rights, law, culture, education, sustainable development, agriculture, technology and artificial intelligence, using insights from countless discussions in our online forums, our in person meetups and from my 256 podcast conversations. I just have “Getting to A Sentientist World” and “A Sentientist Life” to finish. As ever, if you’d like to read a chapter, or even the whole thing, please do get in touch.

On the outreach front our Sentientism presence on LinkedIn has over 1100 followers now and is continuing to grow fast. Sentientist field building is happening all over. If you’re there, give us a follow or even join our LinkedIn Sentientism Group.

As ever, if you’d like to help normalise the Sentientism worldview in any way, please do get in touch. I’d love to hear your ideas, and even better, get your help, however little or much you can do.

Thanks, Jamie.
