Mainstreaming Sentientism into UK Worldviews & Religions Education…?
It’s great to have Sentientism covered well in this new Worldviews and Religious Education teaching resource for the UK about non-religious worldviews. This feels like progress. Non-human sentient beings would normally struggle to get a mention in this curriculum.
The supporting materials include an exercise where pupils are asked to imagine what would happen if “The majority of UK people become sentientists”! Anticipating the day when Sentientism is the default human worldview?
